The location was good and the rooms were fair, we had the 'caravan' bathroom but fortunately for us as another couple had yet to arrive we were able to swap rooms. This was more like a b&b than a hotel. Tea, coffee and cake in the reception area was a nice touch.
On both mornings of our stay at breakfast we had to ask for eggs and bacon as there was non left. The buffet was adequate but not great.

The location is very green and quiet just a few minutes walk from the very center of the Brugge. The hotel has a nice terrace and the building is preserved in a charming Brugge-ish style.
Bathroom is a bit small and the toilet and bathtub are in different rooms, but this is understandable because it's an 18th century building.

Great Location & Delicious Food. During our Christmas stay, we had the pleasure of enjoying the delicious food and great location. the hotel is situated in a nice and quiet area that is not too far from the city center, but away from the busy crowds. We also liked the private parking that allowed us to leave our car in a safe place.
Small Rooms and Difficult to Find. One of the things we disliked was the size of the rooms.

Convenient Location, Peaceful Atmosphere Comfortable Rooms, Delicious Breakfast
During my Christmas stay, I loved the convenient location of the hotel. It was situated close to the main attractions, making it easy to explore the city. the hotel offered a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, allowing me to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city during the festive season.
The warm welcome from the staff was lacking during my stay. This made me feel a bit unwelcome and affected my overall experience.

The location of the hotel is perfect, situated next to the picturesque Minnewater castle and just a short walk away from the beautiful canals and a variety of restaurants. It offers a peaceful and romantic setting, with a lovely view of the lake of love.
One negative aspect is that the bathroom in some rooms may be small, which can be a bit inconvenient for some guests.

Hotel Egmond is a charming hotel in an old mansion in a beautiful park setting. Very quiet and private, but only minutes away from the beautiful medieval centre of Bruges. Our room opened onto the garden which was lovely and the perfect place for a glass of wine at the end of a day of sightseeing. The staff were helpful and the breakfast that was included in the price was ample and delicious.

It was a lovely unfussy old building in a verdant setting, with authentic architectural features. Slightly worn, and sympathetically so - I liked that it wasn't overdressed. Very easy to get to at the end of our very long drive as it's in the south of Bruges centre, but only a few minutes walk from major sights. It may not suit some, but there's no-one on the desk after 6pm. It was beautifully sorted out for late arrivals.
The corridors and pot luck on room size, as it's an old place.
